During my Christmas stay, there were a couple of things that I liked about the hotel. the location was great, with the local market and attractions within walking distance. It made it convenient for us to explore the city and enjoy the festivities. the staff was very positive and provided good service throughout our stay. They were helpful in arranging taxis and recommending places to visit. Lastly, I appreciated the presence of a bar in the hotel, which allowed us to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
There were some aspects of the hotel that I didn't like. the room that was allotted to us was not what we had expected.

The bed was comfortable, nothing too much trouble. Ideal place for your holidays in Gangtok. Choosing for lunch Mu Kimchi, which is situated 400 metres away was a good idea. Free Wi Fi was available throughout the property...

we greatly enjoyed staying at tara palace. this hotel is a lovely place for a city break in gangtok. 100 metres away there is desi bitez, where you can dine.

The hotel is located near a popular tourist area and offers beautiful views from the balcony. The breakfast served in the restaurant was enjoyable and the ambiance made for a peaceful start to the day.
The hotel had poor maintenance and hygiene. The towels were worn out and dirty, the bed sheets were marked with stains and the housekeeping left a lot to be desired.

Absolutely fantastic & brilliant. We did not expect such a great hotel & super service in Gangtok. The location is just perfect. The hotel is very modern & comparable to any five star hotel in a metro city. The views from the rooms are the best in Gangtok. Food is delicious. Overall, if you are travelling to Gangtok...stay at Tara Palace

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the city centre-M G Marg, making it easy to access all the shops, restaurants, and attractions in the area. it is situated in the beautiful Ranipool valley, providing a scenic and peaceful atmosphere.
The timing of hot water availability is limited to mornings and evenings, which can be inconvenient who require hot water at other times of the day.
Tourists from United States of America often stay at these properties. Consider them for your next trip.
